Morey Mach 10 Review – The Morey Pro Series Mach 10 in Detail

Morey is one of the original producers of bodyboards and they continue to be the decisive voice in the world of bodyboarding and boogie boarding. Tom Morey advertised his first bodyboard in Surfer Magazine in the 1970s and sold 80,000 boards within a few months. The first Morey bodyboards (or Morey Boogie Boards) were hand-engraved in Tom Morey’s garden and finished with glue and tape, but Morey Boards are some of the best on the market today.

The Morey Boogie Board Mach 10 is the company’s signature bodyboard and a true classic. In this Morey Mach 10 Review you’ll find everything you need to know about it!

This prestigious bodyboard has the classic shape you’d expect, but that’s where the similarity with other boards ends. The Morey Mach 10 Bodyboard is made of Dow Polyethylene and, in combination with the Power Rod Stringer (made of dual composite carbon), it provides excellent strength and outstanding surfing ability. The industry standard closed-cell cover skin made of TC8 provides excellent grip and durability. Unlike cheap bodyboards, the Mach 10 is heat laminated and sealed so that it won’t peel off after a few days of use.

The materials of the Morey Mach 10 are perfect for those warm water days but still provide enough flex when you’re surfing in cooler water temperatures.

The Morey Mach 10 shape has a narrow template and a slightly wider wide point that provides ample speed without losing control. This makes it especially suitable for spins and pocket riding.

The lack of a pre-installed leash on the Mach 10 means you can place a good-quality one on the board where it is most convenient for you (how you do that is explained here).

If you’re looking for the greatest bodyboard for intermediate to experienced riders, there’s little doubt that a Morey Mach 10 is the way to go. Let’s see what it has on offer.

Why We Would Recommend It

Morey is a well-known bodyboarding company with different styles and options to suit everyone. Each Boogie Board seems to be better than the others. However, the “old-school” look of the Morey Mach 10 caught us. It was expensive, but we decided to give it a try and were overwhelmed by the results.

Due to its characteristics, the Morey Mach 10 is one of our recommended boards and especially our favorit PP Core Bodyboard. The board is available in various bright colors to make it an attractive and functional board. Its top and bottom skins have been meticulously constructed to ensure the best water driving experience to surf the waves to your heart’s content. The design is also tuned for comfort and full control for people of all shapes and sizes.

Overview of Morey Boogie Board Mach 10

Unlike most others, this bodyboard has channels on the bottom. These channels are beneficial to users because they prevent dragging underwater. Its 40 to 42-inch length is appropriate for riders with some expertise who wish to ride with maximum control over their bodyboard.

The Mach 10 is built of Dow Polypropylene (called and trademarked as XFlex Polypro), which has exceptional strength and surfing capabilities, and the Power Rod Stringer is made of dual composite carbon.

The Mach 10’s stringer acts as its skeleton, providing stiffness, strength, and control. The tube is made using fiberglass and is inserted into the core of the bodyboard to provide an added layer of stiffness and durability.

The closed-cell cover skin is the industry standard for high-quality Bodyboards and provides exceptional grip and durability. The Mach 10 is heat laminated and sealed, unlike inexpensive bodyboards, so it won’t peel off after a few days of use.

The deck is this bodyboard’s top layer of skin and is the material that is in place to reduce the impact of your radical maneuvers when you’re out at sea. The deck skin is made from a special TC8 material that is capable of withstanding strong turf while also further boosting the durability of this board.

One of the coolest points is that the 42” version supports riders who weigh over 200 pounds which is not something that you will find with many bodyboards. In addition to that, it comes in a wide variety of colors, including Black/Blue, Grey/Orange, and Blue/White, all allowing you to stand out from the crowd.
